Plant 2m apart in full sunlight in well-draining soil, with plenty of organic matter in beds, and borders.
If growing in pots, choose a fairly large pot with good drainage. You may need to re-pot as the plant grows.
Growing Tips
Water well during dry periods.
Each year add well-rotted manure to the base of the plant. This will keep them going for the whole season.
We recommend pruning December to February.
These will do well grown against arches or trellises or trained onto sturdy supports such as a post and wire system. This way you can create a framework of annual fruiting branches which will help to increase the yield of your plants and make picking easier.
Harvesting
You should be able to harvest from August through to October by picking off the berries once they've turned a deep purple.
