There are several ways you can use Worm Cast fertiliser to boost your plants during the growing season.
We normally recommend adding a small scoop when you plant your veggies - just dig a hole as normal, sprinkle in the Wormcast and plant your veg. You shouldn't need to feed your plants again unless they show signs of nutrient deficiency.
If you have already planted, you can either:
1 - Make a liquid feed by adding 2-3 handfuls of Wormcast to a watering can and mix well with water. Then water your crops as normal. We would recommend doing this once your plants are freshly planted, then again in midsummer. For fruiting veggies like tomatoes, beans, squash, courgettes etc feed them again when plants start producing fruits.
2 - Sprinkle over the whole plot before it rains/before watering. If you are tight on time (or if you're trying to get the kids involved), this is a quick and easy way to boost the nutrients in your soil - it will just take a little bit longer for the nutrients to work their way in!
